Hello everyone im out of modesto ca but live in orland ca and a buddy gave me his fz6 2006 Yamaha but im in need of some fairings and a complete wire harness but having difficulties find such

Fairings are difficult to find because they're usually the first part to get damaged when the bike is dropped :(

You may get lucky in finding a bike that's been rear-ended from a Breakers, or someone who's decided to convert theirs to naked, but other than that, I've heard people saying you can get them from Power Bronze or Ali Express, however I've no idea if they're any good (or reasonably priced!)

WIring looms are more common, but check it's the right model as the S2 uses a different set up from the S1, also whether it has ABS or not will make a difference.

Hope you find what you need.

The aerodynamics of the OEM fairing are not good. There is a lot of turbulence right at helmet level. I’d try to find another FZ6 to ride with the original fairing before you drop $300-$500.

I have two FZ6’s. Both are naked. I much prefer the smooth airflow. When I first got my FZ6 I had trouble connecting with the bike…there was something about it that I didn’t like but I couldn’t quite figure it out. I was contemplating selling the bike and took it out for a ride to figure out what to do with it. During that ride I stood up to stretch my legs and I instantly realized it was the airflow from the fairing that I hated. When I got home I immediately removed the fairing. There are some cool headlight assemblies out there that would give the FZ6 a very modern look.

How tall are you?

I'm 5'7" (170 cm) and don't have any problems even at [ahem] "progressive" speeds ;)

You can also always get a double-bubble screen or fairing extender to change the airflow.
