The Fazers here in Greece have ABS as an extra option but it costs about 500 euro = 800 bucks more.

Yes, you can get it here in the US too for about 700 or 800 dallors. Had I known this when I bought my '07 I would have got it.

Every now and then when I have the road to myself I'll practice emergency stops just to keep sharp when the time calls for one. I try to stay low on the bike and let the front breaks do most/all of the work. I don't do what I'd call a "stoppie" but the back tire does come off the pavement at the end of the stop.
