FS: R6 cams and sprockets $150 shipped

Can anyone of you two guys,who did a camshaft swap open a new HOW-to thread,and decribe what was it all involved in changing to r6/r6s cams?


That would be great,infact a guide is always a better way to share information of which upgrades work,and which not

Yes this is a direct replacement, a tune is not required but to get the most out of doing the swap it would definitely help.

what years R6 cams work for fz6?

I don't know what year R6 cams fit the FZ but if you look in the shop manual on how to check AND SHIM both cams, (R&R valve cover, rt side cam chain cover, tensioner) thats what you have to do... Make sure the new cam is shimmed to the correct tolerances.

I also don't know if he valve springs are the same(probably are, but if not, may float (not close fully) on high RPMs.
