MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi has challenged retired Superbike king Troy Bayliss to a match race in the 2009 Superbike World Championship. " I do not know when , but i hope i can make a race in WSB , " Rossi told a reporter. " I am sad that i would not be able to race against Bayliss on track now because i would like to challenge him on a Superbike. " Maybe , if i ask him he might even come back for one race for the challenge , " he added. Bayliss replied it would take $2 million to get him out of retirement , a figure he wasn't confident of receiving. " I spoke with Valentino and he told me that wants to race me really badly , " Bayliss told british MCN. " It wouldn't be so hard for him to be competitive. Valentino Rossi is Valentino Rossi. " Since then , Yamaha MotoGP boss Davide Brivio has reportedly stated the Yamaha could prepare a pair of works YZF-R1s for Rossi , with speculation arising that Rossi could line up at the second round of the series at Qatar in March. Ducati has also hinted it will have bikes on offer for Bayliss if he decides to take up the challenge , although it is unknown who would pay the $2m.....
