Ah... I love it when I have a typo right in the thread title.... Anyhow, it's a long shot, but if there's anyone in the Santa Cruz area with nothing to do on a Tuesday night... I'm in town for the night on my way back to Vancouver from San Diego, and would welcome the chance to meet up for a bite or a drink with somebody! As much as I enjoy my own company, I'm getting a little tired of talking to the voices in my head, after 8 days on the road... :p

Barring that... any suggestions on a good place to eat in town?

Cheers,
Crystal :D

Dang Crystal, I moved from the napa vally recently, which isnt too far from santa cruz, unfortunately I live in kentucky now, and that is very far. Santa cruz is a very touristy area, so you should have no problem finding a good place to eat, good luck with that, and do not miss the chance to ride a motorcycle out there, some of the most spectacular windy twisty roads are on the coast of cali.

Too bad you left the neighborhood, but don't don't worry - I'm passing through ON my motorcycle, making my way up the coast from San Diego back to Vancouver... I done the drive many times in my car, and decided it was time to do it on the bike.... I love this place!!!

Head back south to Monterey (about an hour) and eat at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company:thumbup: Try the Hush Puppies!

You know... I'd consider it, except for the fact that the ride today from Monterey to here, in the INSANE gusty wind, was one of the scariest hours of my life, and I would not ride back there again today, for one BILLION dollars!!!

I'll keep it in mind for next time, though!

Yeah it's extremely windy in the Bay Area today, and I'm not as close to the coast as you are.

If you had posted earlier (I know it wasn't feasable because you were on the bike) I could have made plans to meet you but at this late hour my wife and baby are expecting me.

I like the Pink Godzilla sushi on 41st.

Good luck!

If you make it to Crescent City near the border of California and Oregon, there is a restaurant that makes the best apple tart a la mode ever. Its a big blue building in the middle of town. If you get to the Home Depot then you've gone too far.

You know... I seriously thought about stopping in... next time for sure! I'll practice my varmint-hunting skills in the meantime! :D

And yeah, I'm starting to get a little tired of the voices in my head... Almost as bad as my in-helmet singing!
