The red part is connected through the water pipe. Is it a part used to measure temperature?
I don't know its name and it's not listed separately in the parts book. I want to know its function and what effect it will have on me if I disable it.

That is the coolant temperature sensor for the fuel rail. This sensor is required.

What is the condition you are trying to correct?
I'm trying to tidy up my FZ6, it's now torn apart by me, I want to tidy up all the circuitry.

Brother Gary, I am not referring to this part. It is on the right side of the knob that balances the air intake of the throttle valve.

This FZ6 seems to be used as a practice vehicle for maintenance. Many screws have slipped out and it is difficult for me to deal with it one by one. I want to dismantle it and observe the structure inside, so as to reduce the pipes and refine it.

"Plunger control unit"
I found the only text description in the manual. After searching, I found that only people on the FJR forum also raised this question. Through the photos, I found that it is an automatic choke that opens when the engine is first started. A device that allows more air to enter the inside of the throttle valve
It should open and close its valve based on the water temperature. After the car is warmed up, push it to the designated position to reduce the idle speed to prevent the engine from being difficult to start.

Over the years forum members have reported that the passageway can be clogged with rust. When this happens the bike will no longer idle properly. By removing the water jacket and sensor your EDU will not be receiving correct information which may impact how the engine performs.

I believe the purpose of the water jacket is to warm the unit up so the engine can operate in an open loop condition.
