mechanical question

So I was getting on my bike for the first time in a couple months and when I let it idle I noticed a sweet smell coming from it? I was wondering if anyone had a similar scenario happen. My initial thoughts are a possible coolant leak?

So let me start with this I picked up the bike for little money its a 2004 FZ6 not running looks like a lot of fun though. I did know that the fuel pump was bad just from looking at it. I pulled the tank removed the rust using electrolosys, replaced the fuel pump, replaced the throttle body...

Anyone have a high pitched whine that is consistent regardless of RPM, speed, gear, or any other mechanical influence? Sounds close to my tinnitus, but isn't. Vacuum leak of some sort? My questions are obviously those of non-wrenching rider. Love my 2004 FZ6. Also have front tire howl...
