Hello, I recently bought a FZ6 S2 2009 as my first bike and was wondering how many gears it has. The manual says it has 6 but the dealer says it's OK as it is with 5 gears (1 down and 4 up). WHo should I believe? Please don't judge me - I am a new biker and don't really know the technical...

The topic says it all really. I've had my 2004 FZ6 for about 3 months now, and all my up and downshifts are clunky as hell! I came from an old Kawasaki ER-5, and even with the rubbish Kawa gearbox, I could still shift through the gears like it was an automatic; no jumping, no clunking, no rev...
