Side exhaust is cheaper and lighter. I used to have a YZF600R. I picked up a Vance and Hines Titanium slip on. Half the weight of the stocker and way louder. That thing had a sweet growl. I think that If I had loud pipes when I had my accident last month, i'm sure he would have heard me coming...

Haha. Yeah. I still like the FZ6 under tail exhaust better. It's a way cleaner look than a traditional pipe on the side. I use a large cortech textile bag on the rear seat and I like not having to worry bout it getting melted by a side pipe when its not full.

Wow. I didn't think they were in the dealerships yet. Looks like they have been sold in other countries with the cowling already. Aftermarket parts too. Hasn't been long since my accident. Not sure if I'm gonna pick up an 07-08 fz6 or a new FZ8.

True. I may wind up buying an 07-08 FZ6 and needing a new taillight anyway. Haha. Unfortunately for me, there were at least 15 cars sitting still waiting for the light to change in the other direction. All the cars were completely stopped before and after the spot where this guy came out...

Wow. Weird how I just saw this thread. Sweet ride. I Got cut off in traffic last month, trashed my bike and broke my leg. I live just outside of Philly and will be looking for a bike like yours in the spring when i get back to work and on my feet again. Lookin at the FZ8 too.

I had a set of the new Dunlop Sportmax Q2's. Great tires. Nice and sticky. Ran em' about 500 miles or so till I got cut off in traffic and wrecked. The tires broke in pretty quick and grip really well. The accident had nothing to do with the tires. The only thing that could have saved me...
