Selling the stock seat from my old 2004 FZ6 that I sold earlier this year. Seat is in great condition with no tears (bike was always garage stored). Should fit multiple years; search forum if you're not sure (I don't know).

Heh, I ought to, lol. It's a beautiful machine and one that I've always wanted. Bucket loads of power and very comfortable. It's especially sensitive to tire pressures and suspension settings, with a heavier front end; however, there's a multitude of suspension adjustment points (many times more...
My 2004 only had the issues with the TPS in 2005 (shut down during acceleration...sucked), which the dealer replaced after some sweet talking, prior to the official recall. Since that episode, the bike has been completely trouble-free and strong. My wife and I started doing 2up on it all over...
Just got an FJR1300 a few weeks ago and part of the deal with the financial committee is to sell the fizzer asap (not a bad deal, lol). We're a mostly 2up family and it was time to upsize a bit.

Thanks for that! Confirms my thought on the process. I don't plan to force them, but I do remember them being a shade short of going full depth (when looking from the backside of the hub).
Resurrecting an old thread, but it relates to what I'm doing on my rear hub. I'm replacing some of the studs and wondered what the best way is to get them reinstalled. Do you put two nuts (no snickering...) on the stud (one next to the other) so they'll stay in place and provide a spot for a...
Yea, I'm pretty darn careful with these sorts of things. The other nuts were fine...it was just the one that let go on me. Looking at the backside of the hub, I can see the stud is still firmly in place, so it stripped out in the nut. Not sure exactly what happened, but I suppose the wrench...
Well, there I was, beautiful day outside, working on the bike in the garage...wanting to go riding later. I just lost my job this past week, so I needed some riding to get out from underneath the clouds. ;)
I had the rear wheel off, cleaning the rear sprocket, hub, etc., and was putting...
