I've had this site bookmarked for some time now, but I haven't gotten around to doing it, and it is hard to find good foam....

I had to bump start my Buell a few times, it worked great!
Then one fateful day, I threw it into 1st instead of 2nd. Rear tire locked, I ripped a new pair of jeans on the footpeg, and I threw the clutch WAY out of adjustment.
I replaced the battery and adjusted the clutch, but it turned out...
I know you have probably already thought of this, but I have printed my own circuit boards before, and etched with them with Ferric Chloride.
It is super low tech, but:
1. you just print your design in reverse (using a laser printer, on photo paper) and then re insert the paper and print...
One of my biker friends teaches the BRC, and says that the Suzuki GS is a piece of crap, and they can never keep them running long enough to complete the BRC.
I had a Buell Blast (492cc) that I picked up for under $2000 with accessories as my starter. Don't let the ~500cc size fool you though...
I am relatively new to streetbikes, so I have no idea what a steering dampner does? Can you give a brief explanation, and example of a situation where it would be helpful?
****, am I too late for this? I grew up in the mountains, but I have never ridden a bike up there, I want to get in on this trip if there are any spots left.
Somebody PM me.
Damn. I hate you got the last spot, but thanks for letting us know about the class. I have a professor friend who teaches the MSF Experienced Rider Course, and it is only $50; do you know how that compares to the NCSHP course?
I agree the WD-40 isn't a good lube, that is my quick fix until I get the stealership to put some "lithium soap based grease" on it and fix the mess they started.
Ron Ayers Motorsports may sell parts and accessories at a good price, but their service dept has been sub-par thus far.
OK guys, I think I have reached the source of my problem and it was ridiculously simple... The douche-nozzles at the stealership didn't lube all the linkages as they should (evidence my side and center stand still creak when putting down and retracting) therefore, they did not lube my shift...
Mine whines in any gear 4th 5th or 6th between 47-53mph, and only when I am maintaining speed, it gets worse with the clutch in though. I'm pretty sure it is transmission whine.
OK, I second all these problems.
I just cleaned off my chain today (a BUNCH of old WAX and grime) and I put PJ1 blue label chain oil on it. I have the howl from 47-53mph, and it gets a LOT louder when I pull in the clutch.
It is hard to downshift, (3rd-->2nd is the worst I think) but...
Please PM me and let me know how you fix your problem arnivi, I was having the same problem today. It only happened after the engine got hot. I think the return spring in the transmission does not pull the shifter all the way up.
I was able to shift and get home by lightly pushing the shifter...
