I'm moderately comfortable on the FZ6. The worst was the first cross country trip, but a switch to Under Armor fixed most of my issues. Still, I don't think it's easy to sit anywhere for 8 hours. I think it depends on the adventure bike, I'd bet a Tenere or R1200GS would be more comfortable...
