    Dual Sport question.

Both are excellent bikes, the KLR is better at highway than the XR; and the XR is better for difficult dirt than the KLR. Both can do either just fine. The KLR is probably cheaper, and has a HUGE aftermarket parts selection. They are very popular with people that do Long Distance DS. I have...

    Your First Bike

the first bike I ever rode was a neighbor's. He taught me how to ride this Bridgestone 350 when I was 10 years old and let me ride it around on the street from time to time. My own first bike was a 1977 R100RS.

Yep, Sherri went from tip toes to flat footed. The bike handles fine really well still. Lower, the pegs scrape a bit earlier. To keep geometry, I dropped the forks in the triple trees a bit. Will it corner as well? I'm not sure. I think the Penske is better than the stock shock, but being lower...

Nope...they worked. The risers make the levers hit the mirrors when you crank the handlebars. So you have to point the mirrors in the same directions as the stalk or they are too low. I don't bother doing this, I just keep them where I like them and move the mirrors if I have to do tight stuff.

    Touring Screen for the FZ6

We are planning a 3,500 mile vacation at the end of July that will snake us across the Western US. To make the riding more comfortable, Sherri wanted a windshield that would keep the airstream off of her body so that she can relax more. We worked with a local windscreen builder California...

    Yamaha Comfort Seat

is the seat pan the same plastic as the stock seat? The firmness is something that is a bit against intuition, but I find firm much more comfortable over long distances that squishy foam. My Corbin seat for the FJR also transfers heat much more than the stock seat. The Pre 06 FJRs are well...

    First Rocket Ride

In normal riding I just go to 6th fast. I keep it in a lower gear in traffic so I can accelerate out of trouble if I need to. In traffic, I keep it at 5-6k at the lowest

    224 mile night ride report.

Well, riding style has some things to do with chicken strips, but I think it has more to do with the profile of the tire. Are you on the Bridgestones? They are pretty round in front...I wouldn't worry about it. On our FZ6 it seems pretty even so far, but I haven't taken it on any of the fun...
