SWEET!
unfortunately in Sg, if the traffic guys don't like your pipes, they will slap you with a S$700 fine for installing illegal ones. i won't vouch but i believe akra & yoshi are legal here. :squid:
:D that thing came with the bike, i had no idea what's the use until i asked other riders. only then i knew it was to protect tank from scratches...handy, i wouldn't really know. sometimes i put on the tank bra. :cheer:
shogun sliders
fell down after clearing customs on the way to malaysia. the slider end broke off and the main part was "compacted". hit a kerb directly.
no damage to paintwork but if your bike is exposed to sun a lot (it happens in sunny singapore often) then when u peel the sticker off, u see 2 colour tones on the tank...it helps protect from scratches if wear belt. :cheer:
added: pic of plain tankpad
sticking well, through-out.
my girl pal and i both had our seats lowered. my pal had her seat cut to reduce the seat height. as for me, the mechanic did something to the fork (edited: or was it, shock?) and somehow the whole bike was lowered. we are both ~150cm tall.
corbin looks like a better alternative...
it depends on bike make, capacity, rider's age & riding experience, plus some others.
for my age group, i'm 29 & been riding this bike for 1+ year, my insurance is around S$700. it will go down a lot when i turn 30 next year.
definitely way much cheaper than car! :cheer:
bought the tank bra from Motoworld. placed order even before the bike became mine, cost ~S$150
ermax is better than stock shield, it's around 10 cm higher, i'm short ~150 cm height so i'm quite well protected behind it.
i'm in the Ladies section of the forum, so i'm no "DUDE" now, innit...
