I looked at the SV as well when shoping and have since ridden one. Compared to the FZ it's a big let down in top end power and overall low end is nice on the twin as others nor did I like the riding position....narrow bars and more SS like seating position. My thoughts.....
Went back to the fairings on my bike so have my Demon fairing just sitting around. It is one of the cheaper ebay ones but I gutted the anemic original lights and replaced with 55w Halogen driving lights had to build a cradle for housings etc but it still mounts the same and solved all the issues...
Just what title says....I tried search here and the web but found notta. Looking for pic of FZ6's with preferably Chrome rims but Polished will get the idea across. Awesome would be Chrome Rim on all black FZ. Got chance to buy some R6s rims at great price and debating.....thought chrome wheels...
WelL F'ed up again cost me set of rims this time hit curb in the rain early am and toasted both wheels eed a set ASAP as bike is my transportation. Anyone got any around?
Still looking for stock screen as well. LMK Thanks:thumbup:
Going to put the fairings back on mine. Love the look but not the function of the naked conv. Need everything Fairings, Windsheild, Stay, Headlights,Blinker mounts, Bolts, brackets and such for those parts as well don't mind if the need a little work or color cause I have to paint them anyway...
Funny this came up now I just replaced mine due to the same issue but my clutches were still in place and rideable. The #1 and #8 plate were both broken into 3 pieces and smoked. In answer to your question I have always just replaced frictions and springs then about every 3rd clutch change I...
I've had the pleasure of riding so many different bikes over the years it's unreal but here's a few that stick out.
90 something CBR250 was first Streetbike I ever rode. Crazy thinking back to how Fast I thought it was.
1991 Softail Custom HD.Very comfortable to ride but full of...
I just always liked the bikes with least fairings the best so it was inevitable to strip the FZ completly from the begining.
Also as said above I just can't leave anything alone the want to have something different/unique and just to tinker drives me.
Well check that.....I think you jinxed me :banghead: lol. Spent the last two days dealing with blown bulbs and fuses. After this I wouldn't recomend this front end to anyone that wasn't willing to do some work to make it right. Aparently all the sockets and connections are pretty much super...
Yea that fella there has some MAD SKILLZ!!!!! I've ridden one and there's no way I could fling it around like that. Not to mention his throttle control is superb and not an easy bike for that either.
Personally I am just as happy with my Carhartt's, both the double front and duck washed. About 1/3rd the price of your average Riding jean and just as durable IMO. Mine were put to the test twice during a 15mph tumble and 30mph slide and still wearing both pairs. I do have a couple pairs of Icon...
Mine generally runs between 45 and 50mpg and doesn't seem to matter how I ride it. Lowest I ever got was a mountain run in SC where we were hammering pretty much all 8k+ and got around 40. I fill up around 150-175 miles per trip when the light starts flashing and generally only get 3-3.7 gallons...
Anyone got a manual handy that can tell me to torque specs for the clutch hub nut and spring bolts? I know shame on me for not having a manual already but I very seldom need one for anything but torque specs. Feel free to send me a PDF one if anyone wants to. Thanks
No problems here other than I've already blown 2 bulbs although I was not very pleased with the way the wiring was when it came so I spent a little time cleaning it up before I mounted it. I do remember figuring out the wiring being a bit of a PITA sounds like maybe you had one of the wires...
