Mine started leaking a little last summer at 12K, I used a Sealmate and all was well for the balance of the season. However, when I brought it out this spring, they were leaking bad, so I replaced everything with All Balls components and 10 wt oil. I purchased the bike used, and from the...
Huge thanks for this post, replaced my seals yesterday and all of the details shared here made it much easier.
The 2" i.d. piping from Lowe's worked perfectly!

As a newer member, I enjoy looking at the contestant photos and participated last month. I've spent more time than I would like to admit looking through the historical months too.
I think Facebook is slowly taking over the forums, making the number of truly active members...
On my fourth tank since purchase, so far 51.7 has been my highest, and 44.8 the lowest. That's on 87 octane. The 44.8 was a lot of town riding and short trips. Still running stock gearing, fresh oem spark plugs, may try iridium next.
I've been working on the header a little at a time, still have some work to do though. Tried Mothers but it wasn't making much of a dent in the staining/tarnish. I may end up sanding and fully repolishing. If that doesn't work, I'll pull it off and put it on the polishing wheel.

I'm a new owner as well and this forum has been extremely useful as a resource to search for the questions that I have as I get acclimated to the FZ6.
Thanks! I will double check on the chain, I know it has some slack but it sounds like it may not be enough. I did not get an owner's manual with it but have already found a PDF online and also have a service manual to answer many of my questions.
Re: August 2016 BOTM - uploads enabled
I just added a photo successfully. As noted above, I had to reduce the file size in order to get it to load. The original full resolution image would not load.
Love the forum and have already answered a lot of my questions through searching.
I've been riding for ~25 years but took a few years off, after having the itch for the past few summers, I purchased a 2000 Triumph 955i Daytona earlier this summer, loved the bike but it was more than...
