    Top gear usa

Love Top Gear UK but admit I've never seen the first few seasons. So far TG USA is pretty lame. Adam Ferrara and Rutledge Wood not only can't outdrive a blind man, they are about as entertaining as watching paint dry. At least Tanner Foust knows how to handle a car. I think that the total...

Holy Crap!!!! The Pats Beat the pulp out of the Jets!!

Talk about a major ass whopping. The best part was that after three quarters the announcers could no longer continue with their anti-Patriots diatribe and retain any semblance of credibility!

    Bags/luggage recommendations???

+1 Top box is super practical. Had a Givi E52 on mine. Easy and convenient to use as the trunk of an automobile. John

Twisted Throttle is having a sale on some FZ6 stuff

While $250 might be high, it may not be. And I realize (or hope) that you are just venting a bit. However, you remind me of some of my customers who have the same reaction when I charge $65.00 for a CD of 100+ photographs. I photograph youth sports. I have become successful enough to do...

Looks nice. Love the rear wheel too. I hope they scrub the Armor All off the tires before someone rides that particular one though

FS: 2008 Blue FZ6 Boston area

Just picked up a 2009 Yamaha V Star 1300. Only room for 1 bike in the stable so the FZ6 has to go. 2008 Blue FZ6 located about 30 miles north of Boston. 100% stock except for Puig Dark Smoke wind screen, and Motovation front and rear frame sliders. Conservatively ridden by an older guy...

Does the FZ6 have enough power?

Personally I'd like more low end torque. When I get the FZ up into the twisties up in NH and Vermont, where I can wind it up with less fear of cars and cops, it's great. However, most of the time, I seldom get the bike into the "power band" because doing so gets me way above legal speeds...

Found an intresting photo on my ride today :)

I was on those roads today, not on the FZ6 however, but in our Minivan :( We dropped my daughter off at Westfield State College and rather than slabbing it back on the pike, we took back roads past the Quabbin, up to Leominster. I had my wife writing down comments on all the good roads...

    New member welcome thread..

Welcome Todd! Nice to see another Mass. FZ6 owner. Too bad about the rain, but you will have some prime riding weather ahead now that most of the hot sticky stuff is over with. The Yamaha lower chin cowling is just costmetic. If you are talking about a 3rd party lower colwing than I...

Buy in @ the Busted Knuckle Garage?

That tire changer looks pretty sweet. If its as easy as the video makes it out, it is definetly less work than the low cost method I used in the photograph. John

Buy in @ the Busted Knuckle Garage?

I dug up a photo I took at a wrenching session in 2004. About 20 pairs of tires were mounted that day, including my sv650 tires, using the "high tech" tools in the photo. The leverage the bead breaker could apply made it trivial to break the bead. The mounting was done by putting the rim...

Front end vagueness & decel wobble

I've been noticing increased "vagueness" in the front end. This weekend after 750 miles of riding, I also noticed a considerable deceleration wobble. Going down a hill at 50mph if I let go of the handlebars they wobbled back and forth a lot well decellerating. I didn't notice any shake or...

    Seriously... WTF

That sucks Rob! Hope you catch up with the guy. I think the fact that he left the scene might give you something the cops can hang on to. John
