Unfortunately, it didn't come with a manual, but I found a PDF version which I could pass to you on CD.
Battery replaced at 7,610 miles
Pilot Road 4 tires installed at 7,950 miles (they show very...
This is a really interesting topic to me. I'm 6'2" and I ride a stock FZ6. I've noticed that freeway riding can be terrible because of the amount of wind buffeting on my head. Of course if I bend over more it's reduced but then I'm not comfortable. I have a Shoei RF1200 helmet which I've heard...
I bought that FE on eBay and then returned it. As the previous member stated, there's a plate underneath the tail of the bik which protects and hides wiring. This eliminator doesn't work with that plate, so you end up having a gap with exposed wiring underneath. Whether you're OK with that is...
Yes, I decided to drill my exhaust after days of going back and forth. Was the $16 bit worth it? Absolutely.
I went with the "get the hole as big as you can" strategy. I drilled two 1/2" holes right next to each other and then around the edges of the holes as much as possible.
It sounds...
So I got a fresh set of Pilot Road 4's mounted a couple of days ago. I'm happy with the increased road comfort so far. But I really haven't scratched the surface (no pun intended) of the tires yet and my experience level is so low that I won't max out the traction capabilities anyway. I paid...
As a parent myself, I don't like to judge other parents for their parenting decisions because I don't like to be judged. Every family is its own sub-culture and it's much more appropriate for parents to decide when their kids are ready for whatever they teach them: driving, riding, guns, sex...
I paid $120 in Washington state. That's the state-subsidized price which accounted for 6 out of the 12 seats in the class. The other 6 paid like $175 or something like that. Only 6 out of the 12 students passed both tests. We had bikes provided and they had some loaner helmets, but not enough to...
I bought a an OEM replacement key as a spare. My used bike only came with one key. Do they normally come with two? I would expect they do. Cheap insurance plan in my opinion in the case that I lose my keys on a ride somehow.
I bought some Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish and got to work on the header. My bike is a 2006 with about 7700 miles and the header had surely never been polished before.
Before
After
It's still not quite perfect, but it's much better.
After I finished up, I noticed that my rear brake...
OK - this is probably a stupid question and likely answered before. I acknowledge that there's a search function. I just don't know what to search for.
Here's the question: When someone asks what kind of bike do you have, how do you respond? Assuming the person asking just wants to know the...
Well I passed my MSF safety course, gents.
Since this is a thread about thoughts, I'm going to offer some thoughts about the course:
I thought the coverage of the written material was a waste of money. We pretty much read from the book - something I can do myself. I was hoping for more of...
I try to remember what gear I'm in, but I'm not completely sure why to be honest. I'm used to always knowing based on the location of my hand and the behavior of the car when I drive a manual car - I think that's where it comes from mostly for me.
They provide 125s or 250s for us. I'm excited to try them out. I'll take all the experience I can get even if it's with a small bike! And I did hear that the turn around box is difficult with a larger bike...
