He admitted on camera to swerving intentionally. He should have been charged with attempted murder and let him plea down to vehicular assault, or some such lesser charge. Guy is lucky he didnt kill someone, I dont know I'd have been so calm as the guy with the helmet cam if i saw someone do this...
It's terrible as a throttle lock. Looks great but it doesn't fit the FZ6 throttle tube very well and just scratches at the plastic. It won't actually lock, the moment you release your grip it slowly rotates and you slow down. Plus to have it engage requires a 'friction pad' which rubs the...
I only paid $3200 for an 08 stock, scratches n scuffs from a forgot-to-put-kickstand-down drop by PO with less than 500 miles on it a year and a half ago but I felt like I stole it. Price is relative to demand in your local (around nashville Suzies and Onda's are WAY over priced) and someone...
When I picked up my 08 stock (hardly ridden less than 500miles on it) 2 years ago I only paid $3200. Price is location based and FZ6 around here were $1000 less than the honda/suz of similar styling, Nashville thinks way too highly of honda. I digress, $4000 seems doable as its a mighty fine...
Theres a place in nashville who does this and as far as I was told once the graphics are laid the pieces are coated in clear. So essentially they should last just as well as any automotive paint job (color under clear) but it will depend on the quality of the clear and quality of application...
I've had similar shake from a bike that had sat and the front tire developed a slight flat spot? Again, tires are the first and easiest thing to check.
Been off the bike since Nov (Knee surgery). Gave it a good once over, fresh oil n filter, air, charged the battery, lubed the greasy bits and cleaned the rest... then took off slowly, steadily for a few close to home rides to get back in the saddle and not look or ride like knob/noob... Take it...

Been riding the 'other' bike lately so my entries something rarer. I'll try for another FZ shot next month...
I mean no offense but there are those who LOVE the act of riding, no matter what they ride and those who LOVE the machine itself, for me its both.
I've hand built my own bikes from the frame up with only a grinder and hand tools its not that i'm any more passionate a rider (and definitely not...
I think the implied line, that the true riders self maintain their bikes is spot on.
Those that love their machine(s) and get their hands dirty have an attachment to both their rides and their self-preservation, its a prolonged love affair that transcends just riding.
Ouch for the pride and the wallet!
Low speed tip happens to the best of us, mine was doing a u turn on a narrow country road, thought I was almost around but too close to the edge of the road and the big pile of gravel.
Once she's up and running the fz6 is amazing, enjoy!
