Hi, can I ask what your fly screen setup is as im looking for one atm and yours has caught my eye.
Edit, it looks like the VS02 kit from dev_usc
Cheers
When replacing the mirrors on my S2 I realized the throttle side is reverse thread!
Does anyone know is it 3/8" ? I need to order a left hand thread cap bolt now.
So I purchased some cheap mirrors which came with cap head bolts. The clutch side mirror bolted on just fine but I found out the throttle side was reverse / left hand thread but both bolts I was supplied with were standard thread.
I can't find a supplier of reverse thread cap bolts anywhere...
Went through two tanks of HARD riding on performance map recommended by Dynojet to match my Scorps & decat pipe. Got ~42mpg.
Then done 150 miles at the weekend on one tank with my wife as pillion riding casual using the ZERO map and got ~51mpg
~10mpg / 30-40 miles per tank difference...
Thanks guys. I have an '08 Naked S2 so wasn't aware of this kit, I like the small aggressive screen. I'm definitely going to look into moving the horn elsewhere than OEM position although i'd be worried about putting it below the headlight for fear of the front fender hitting it when forks...
I emailed Dynojet directly for advice and a guy emailed me back the same day recommending a map for my setup. He did say it would be a base setting and recommended for the best result needs dyno'd but its worked for me.
I'm also on Scorpions with baffles and decat pipe.
Cheers Marthy, I have installed the speed wire and the PCV does reed the speed correctly. I hadn't thought about just making 5th &6th gear more fuel friendly - nice tip!
I did think when the Dynojet guy sugested 10% via email it seemed like too nice a round figure when all the other figures...
I was going to have one map for use with baffles and one map setup for riding without baffles but dam there just too loud without the baffles installed!
So I plan on following Dynojets advice and editing my performance map by reducing the fuel at cruising range by 10%. I can then use this...
I have just installed scorpion oval cans and now also looking into FE's. However my bracket doesn't look yours in pic1, and I have routed my cables as normal on top of the bracket/underneath the can using the length of rectangular plastic to cover them same as stock.
Thank you for explaining your method of trying to constantly keep the engine in a loaded state.
Would you consider riding this way to be normal? Has the throttle response of the FZ6 caused you to adopt these practices?
Any riding school I have attended for either on or off the road would...
When I'm coming into a corner I let the throttle off change down gears while breaking into a suitable gear that I can then start to accelerate around and out of the corner in the powerband.
How are you able to brake without letting the throttle off
It is going from braking into a...
