    Worst Mods Anyone?

Taller Yamaha windscreen. Good protection but lack of wind force on chest caused more wrist pain on long rides. Put the stock screen back on.

Ear plugs or no ear plugs that is the question?

There have been a number of good articles published about loud noise levels and fatigue. I find that when I forget to wear earplugs my endurance and enjoyment are both reduced considerably. I ride in the city and on freeways as little as possible. I want to live to ride another day.

    Review: Yamaha's tall "Touring" windshield

I have a 2004 FZ6. Bought the yamaha taller windscreen for better protection. Found the reduced air on the torso caused more pressure on my wrists. I could see the taller screen for weather protection but I went back to the stock screen.

    FZ6 Model year comparison - '05 vs '08

I'll have a different opinion when I've scuffed the entire tire, broken in to at least 600 miles and am...

    Potential Riders MUST READ!!!!!

Very good article. As an older rider who hadn't owned or ridden anything with more than 30 horsepower in many years I would have like to buy my FZ in a restricted version that can be up-rated later. But no such thing exists in the US. However, I have found the FZ to be very docile if you keep...

    Do you regret your purchase?

The FZ6 was a bike I had to buy. I always said if someone made an all-around standard machine with a factory fairing (no lower please), fuel injection, adequete power, reasonable seat height, etc. I'd buy a new one. The bike I wanted was the old FZ600 the europeans had for about ten years. Well...

    New member welcome thread..

My name is Stu and I live in Western Oregon USA. I own a 2004 FZ6 (the fast blue one) which was my first new motorcycle. I have owned seven other bikes in my riding life (on and off for 40+ years) mostly enduros or dual sport types. I still have a 1988 Honda NX650 that I've had for at least 6...
