Just went and rode one, and yes it was worse so the FZ1 is out!

So I'm considering getting a 06 FZ1 but I've not gone and looked at it yet. Does anyone know if the riding position is all that much different? I need something where the pegs are little lower and maybe a little more forward.

That's exactly what I want, 1 more inch lower would do the trick.. What all needs to be done to get these to fit...

So I'm looking to make some changes the bike. First I need some new bars as the stock one's just SUCK, I'm also hoping to find something to help with the weird/lousy clutch pull and change the location of the foot pegs. So I'm asking for some thoughts/ideas on these items...

That was MOTHER LUCK on your side and some serious desperation from the seller. I would not count on that being the norm for anyone, sweet deals like that are rare!

Just out of curiosity, how much more power/performance are you gaining with the S-triple? Is this just a change for something new and different?

I'm not sure there is anything special about our gas here, what I can tell you though is that I was and am equally surprised at the MPG's this bike gets..

I've regularly been getting 53mpg and that's even flogging the bike..........

I'm not sure where you're seeing that crazy price, when I search their site the LV system is $515........

Ya I pretty much just use it for commuting which is why MPG's are a big deal to me and rarely do I go on really long rides. On occasion I do go out with buddies for rides up to 150 miles, for the most part this is a commuter.

At this point I'm already ready to part ways with my FZ6, I rode a buddies Hyabusa the other day and well that just ruined this bike for me. I'm going to be on the prowl for a nice lightly used 07 or newer FZ1.....
