Hi everyone,
I'm having all sorts of woes at the moment. My bike had a flat battery (probably because my heated hand-grips have a slow drain, and I haven't ridden for a month or so).
I charged the battery and tried to start it today, but no luck - the engine turns over, but doesn't fire...
Hi everyone,
I noticed that my radiator fluid was a bit low last weekend so I topped it up, by raising the tank to get to the filler cap. I didn't do any other modifications to the bike.
I ran the bike for about 2 mins after that while moving it back to the garage, then switched it off and...
This won't affect many of you guys, but I thought you might be interested to see what City of Sydney council is doing with regards to bikes and scooters.
It's great that they are touting bikes as being socially responsible and environmentally friendly.
I can't wait til they bring in some...
My brother-in-law and I just came back from a 4 day odyssey around the Central West region of New South Wales, Australia - Google Map of our trip
These photos aren't great quality as I was using my phone, but the advantage was I could upload them directly to Flickr, so my friends and...
I really wanted to get a nice big Givi bag like everyone else in the forum - but in Oz that was going to set me back about $800 for the box and frames.
So I decided to make do with a poor man's version - an RJays top box (RJays Super Top Box)
Unfortunately the RJays top box doesn't have a...
I installed heated handlebar grips a few weeks ago, and I suspect they might be draining the battery with a slight current even while off - they are connected directly to the battery as per manufacturer's recommendations. I intend to connect them to a switched circuit soon.
Anyway, I had a...
Hi everyone,
I picked up a set of Oxford heated hand grips the other day, and they're great - warm and comfortable.
The instructions say to connect them directly to the battery, and they they will automatically switch off when the voltage drops below 11.5 V
However, I tried this...
Hi everyone,
Yesterday while travelling on the freeway I noticed a high-pitched whine which started at about 85kph (around 50mph) and stopped when I accelerated past 95kph (60mph). When slowing into this range the noise starts again, and stops when below 85.
I've only had this bike (2004...
Hi everyone,
A few weeks ago I bought a 2004 FZ6 with 20,000km on the clock and I've been reading up on this forum since then.
I haven't done any mods yet but plan to do Bikerdude's dual headlight mod and install a louder horn - so I can be seen and heard.
My previous bikes were a ZX6...
