I got a question, I am about to start storing mine outside and plan on getting a battery tender but...hooking it up outside... that sounds questionable. Anyone have any suggestions?

stator read about 13 to 14 ohms... hmm But charged the battery, ran it and it tested at about 12 volts

Just tested the rectifier and it read ohms ranging from 3.69 to 4.34

Thanks Cliff, I will be sure to get the battery out, charged up and load tested as soon as possible. In the meantime, I'll unplug the stator (and maybe rectifier/regulator as well) and test those to make sure those are working properly. Something i was thinking was that it could possibly be...

Just read through the manual and couldn't find the number of ohms...

When testing the stator, what am I looking for? To my understanding, I am not looking for a specific number or anything right? Just seeing that there is a current going through it.. And also, how do I go on about testing the current? Thanks

Awesome thanks I will do that as soon as I can! And by load testing, you mean just starting it, revving it to 5k rpm and get a reading on a voltmeter? Hopefully disassembling the stator and rectifier isn't too much of a hassle.. Thanks!

yea i am doing that now. But i'm not having much luck finding mirrors since the windscreen no longer exists and that is where the mirrors would have attached, correct? Are there any universal mirrors that would attach elsewhere on the handlebars?
