I would love to know your method behind that tray. . .i just kept a small cubby hole with the lock to retain the original lockin seat. . .but that looks great!
Thanks! Bike runs as good as it did prior to any exhaust work...subtracting the cat feels like the bike is a little more open and possibly a little quicker, but it could just be me. .
I am selling my set of full lower fairings from my 2005 FZ6. They should fit 04,05, and 06. They are in mint condition with no scratches or blemishes. I am about to move and the extra money will definitely help. They come with all required brackets and instructions. They are black in color. $350...
So i just finished the other side, it took a couple minutes longer than the first because i kept having to trim the second one to make it identical to the first. . .Of course the black rubber border will be adhered down :-p. Now brainstorming on the area under the tail.
Thanks everyone, I really wanted to. . .but In order to make that middle piece look good would take some work. . .Im going to finish the other side, see how it looks, and evaluate from there. . .BTW...This mesh was originally for my miatas' grill. It was $3 at home depot. . .its called gutter...
nice, i stared at the shroud for like 5 minutes trying to think of something to do with it. . .Thats a pretty good idea. . .I just finished epoxying a new piece of mesh, it looks a lot better than the one in the last photo. . .The new stuff that i have is a little more rigid. . .
Awesome job Oldfast! Yours looks VERY clean. Always wondered how it would work keeping the Cat pipe, nice to see it went pretty smoothly :-). .If i ever do an overhaul on the exhaust again, i still have the cat, and might slap it on for the mount purpose :-p
I would weld over clamp anyday, but i dont see enough backpressure in the system to make a difference. + My bike already had the fender eliminator when i bought it. . .but the pipe also comes with a fender eliminator for a CBR, but its a little too narrow...
Hey Oldfast, Cool to see you giving this a whirl. . .So heres my 2 cents. I decided to remove the entire pipe to use the entire Boz pipe. I did this because it eliminated to Cat and just seemed a little easier than trying to get the Boz pipe manipulated with the chambered piece on. . .Im also...
Haha, not the one eyed monster? As far as the joining of the pipes. . .just cut the CBR pipe where the bend at the front of the pipe ends. . .and weld on the end of the original FZ6 muffler, making sure to cut enough to replace the difference of pipe lost from cutting the bent piece. . .Then...
