This is not going well. The stock pump assembly has three non-replaceable items, the electric pump, a filter and a pressure regulator. I initially replaced just the pump, but the filter was blocked so that did not work. I hacked up the plastic housing so that I could use a car in-line filter...

I think you mean adjusted not replaced. The TPS is adjustable in terms of the degree of throttle opening (the numbers that you have listed)- see page 7-7 of the shop manual. It should be replaced per the electrical resistance specifications on page 8-128

Update: I have ordered a car fuel pump off eBay for the insanely low price of $21.95 shipped, from the photo and the model number I think I can make it work. I'll let you know how I get on..................
