My D252s have been fine on my '06. The rear is about gone at 4800 miles. I kept up nicely with an SV650, FJR1300, and a ZRX1200 on a 4 day trip on Tn, Va, and W.Va backroads/twisties. No slipping.
The digital tach band around the unit is pretty much worthless on my '06. However, engine rpm can be displayed in numbers, as a choice in the trip mileage area, directly under the speed. I use that and like it fine. In one quick glance I get both numbers instantly. I like that method better...
