It's really hard to tell because I'm pulling in the clutch and braking at the same time whenever I am coming up to a stop. From what I remember last time, it usually happens when I pull in the clutch and when I let it go just a little-- that's when the screeching starts. But then again I've...
First problem:
I just recently had my brakes changed out (along with the front tire) by a shop, and when I was riding back home I noticed that the front brake lever tends to give out and when that happens there is very minimal pull on the front brakes. The brakes will come back but that's...
I don't believe you have to "blip" the throttle when downshifting (engine breaking). It's all about smooth clutch control. You can downshift into first gear going 25mph, and as long as you let the clutch go gradually, you will not lock up. Trust me, I do it all the time. Like I once read before...

I don't know if I need to replace the bracket as well, or if I just need the mirror and a new rivet to hold the mirror in place. Let me know what you think...
Yeah I'll see about sanding it down. I just first have to save up to buy a sander! But yeah, paint is definitely going to happen, sooner or later. I just have to find the right color.
Also, what's a cover- Fairing perhaps??
"Battle scars"? That's a good way to put it. I might just end up keeping them just for that reason. It kind of tells the story of the bikes' past.
But I just took off the entire front cowling and it looks like I'm going to have to replace the entire front end. When I bought the bike it looked...
I'm new to the forum and I just bought a USED 07' FZ6. The previous owner had gotten into a minor accident and the sides of the engine got scuffed and scraped a bit. Also, there's is a minor (maybe a bit more than minor) scrape on the side of the frame right above a bolt that attaches it to the...
