I've been down twice on my bike. First time was on July 4th, 2004. Going too fast and overcooked a turn. Decided to do a little offroading, but the bike would have none of that. I wound up replacing most of the plastic on the bike. Second time was last October. It had just started to rain...

A little over 40,000 miles (64,000 km) on my 04. That's at a standstill at the moment while I replace the TPS and the air temp sensor.

I don't mind riding in the rain if I'm not around a lot of traffic. I won't take the bike though if it's already raining. Around here, the highly traveled roads have a lot of oil and grime caked into the surface so they're always slippery when they're wet.

Yeah, it must be a hard job especially when there is a large one that you're going to have to compete with.
