That is definitely rust... as people have said, it is a drain hole. You need to actually scrub it a little and it will get clean.

man, I got the mivv delete pipe, but now I have a slight leak where the two bros and the cat pipe meet up. I have used copper rtv, clamped the mess out of the pipe, but still has a slight leak.

Yea I would worry about braking instead of downshifting. Plus, with you using the rear brake AND downshifting, you will most likely just lock up the rear.

around 8k rpms (check "speed @ 8k rpms" thread) the clutch lever vibrates and buzzes @ the pivot point -- not the whole bar.

Ordered HEL SS brake lines, Hyperpro springs, Yamaha belly pan, new spark plugs, and cleaned up the Two Bros canisters and swapped them. Can't wait for next week to come and begin the gift giving!

sounds like you are having fun. just make sure to check the filter because it is going to get dirty faster than normal

Now that summer has come around, my bike is doing a lot better with gas. On my regular commutes, I am getting around 43 mpg. I took a trip up to PA and speed average was 83mph (around 7k rpms) and I hit my all time high of 48mpg.

Yea I did one around 100km (60 miles), then 600 miles, then 1500, then at 3000 and switched to synthetic. I worked at an auto parts store so I got things cheap and didn't mind over doing things.
