Replacing just the springs should give you a huge boost in handling. I fitted Hyperpro springs to my fz6 and the cornering and overall handling improved a lot.

I have a Schuberth S1 pro with built in sun visor, realy nice. the shoei neotec was voted best helmet in a dutch/german magazine, its a system helmet also with the sun visor, but being a system helmet you can flip up the bottom face part, so it'll give you a little more air like your silver...

If the cops cited her for failing to yield, I'd at least talk to a lawyer. Not sure how insurance works over there, but if I total my bike my monthly payments tend to skyrocket. Just talking to a lawyer usually won't cost a thing.

For 2000 you can buy pretty good looking bikes. Mileage is overrated, I bought my bmw at 48000km's, my fz1 at 47000, they both were great bikes when I bought them.

Voted for the BMW. Test rode it and its awesome. ABS and traction control. Riding is fun, but I like the idea the computer corrects my errors. Not depending on it, but you never know.

I have a regular air compressor as well. Works fine. My bmw has tire pressure control so I never have to check :D

A friend of mine rides a ducati multistrada 1200, trackdays and all, and uses Michelin Pilot road 3's. Therefor, I ignore your list and recommend those. I had the mpr 2's on my fz6, had track days as well, stuck to the road like glue.
