No, and that wasnt the problem anyway.. The portion of the tank where the fuel pump meets the tank should be perfectly flush.. on this tank its bent in all directions so fuel leaks out like crazy.. This tank may be a write off.

So I installed the tank last night and put about a gallon of gas in and fired her up.. It works!! Then 5 min later I notice 3" spot under the bike.. Oh shiet, what is that dripping off the pipes?? So i rush to unbolt everything and there is gas coming out of the pump flange like crazy.. I dunno...

Those of us here in Phoenix are fortunate enough to have Bobs motorcycle junkyard here in town.. It is hard to put into words just how big this place is.. Here is a satellite image of it.. I would estimate it at around 1 to 2 square city blocks with bikes everywhere as far as you can see...

Thanks for the help guys!.. I got the pump out and there was sand in the tank! It came with no gas cap so that must be how it got in there.. I vacumed it out and now im good to go..

aww.. Sweet, thanks for the link.. Maybe this is something I will tackle myself.. Any tricks for which hose to crimp or place near a bucket so fuel wont go spilling.. I guess if I remove it with the tank sitting vertical strait up fuel spillage wont be too big a problem.. Thanks!

Im not sure what happened to the tank.. I bought the bike like that.. The biggest dent looks like a car door hit it.. The other ones are really small.. There are no scratches or anything on the frame though so Im positive its not from any accidents or being layed down..

Well my new / 95% mint tank just arrived today.. It is black ( my fav color :) ) and in near mint condition.. Just has a couple light scratches and a tiny quarter sized dent on the side.. I will mount it like it is but eventually take out the small dent and paint it satin black to match the rest...

Here is my single headlight set up.. I dont hate it but I will probably change it out, its just what came with the bike.. I added the turn signals and an HID h4 setup. I know the signals are off center.. When I installed them I centered them on each bracket but it turned out the brackets werent...

Well here is my newest idea.. Take a cheap ebay streetfighter headlight and modify it with twin hi/low projectors and some turnsignals and running lights.. Check it out.. the whole set up would be less than 200 bucks and have an amazing light output.. Before and after

Hey I got a question for those of you have installed a belly pan.. So I got mine today and test fitted it on the bike and the mounting points dont seem to match with anything on the bike.. One point is right on the radiator hose, another is next to bare metal by the rear brake lever, other...

Im really starting to dig that headlight. Do you know what the diameter of the projectors is? I would like to swap them for some meant for hid so I can get that clean cut off line.. How is the output and cutoff for the stock ones? You have any pictures?? Thanks buddy!

Are those the same hid projectors they sell on ebay? They are hi/low, already have the hid bulb installed and have halos.. all for like 100 bucks without ballasts
