Pinlock or other visor insert definitely the way to go! No messing around with soap etc needed! Never had any issues with mine in all weathers. Fit it once (can be a bit of a pain) but then that's it - spend more time riding instead of smearing 'cat crap' (what a great name!) all over your visor!

Yes, I thought about that but there are a couple of issues. First being postage costs, and second being that the headlight must display an 'E' mark, showing it meets European standards. I am not sure if US headlights have this, and I KNOW the French inspector will not pass it without it!
