You'll only blow a fuse by overloading the circuit, or having a short somewhere. A loose connection won't blow the fuse unless it falls off and shorts out. What's the problem you're having?

One thing to check and keep track of, living in FL it isn't as critical, is the minimum temperature it's rated for. I believe the engine ice isn't rated for the typical sub-zero temperatures that regular ethylene glycol is.

Your coolant resevoir is at the front of the engine behind the headers? Is that normal for the 09's? My 04's is behind the engine, under the seat.

I've never noticed any pinging or detonation. For note, I run fully synthetic 10W-40. I may switch up and try to find 20W-40, but I don't know that it'd make that great of a difference in that respect. *edit* And WOW. They couldn't have found a better place to put the thermostat?
