    Gunz! AR style

Besides, I already have a Rem 597 .22, so I can still plink on the cheap.

    Gunz! AR style

I'm still planning on the dedicated .22 upper as well. I want to get my 5.56 upper done first, though, then I can blow stuff up while I'm saving up for the .22.

another bike we won't be receiving! :(

I'm not upset by this. That bike does nothing for me. Sorry gents.

I'm piecing mine together as well. I thought money was going to be my biggest limiting factor, but it's actually been part availability. At the same time, things seem to be coming into stock right around the same time I have money, so it's worked out pretty well! I may do an AR10 in .308...

    Gunz! AR style

I do have a charging handle, just forgot to list it. It's a cheapy for now, so we'll see how it works out for now. That BCM BCG isn't too bad. It's a little on the high end of what I'm looking, though it's certainly an option. I'll have to keep my eye on that one.

Mine's definitely heavy. The barrel is stainless and not at all light weighted.

FJR is definitely my next bike. Problem being, it may be another 10 years before I can afford it.

I have the same camera/kit. LOVE it, but still learning all the bells and whistles.

    Wow..

Wow, and people wonder why cagers hate motorcyclists.

    Photography Thread !!!

Here's a suggestion for you, or anyone, if you're just getting into the land of SLR or DSLR cameras. Check out the book "Understanding Exposure." I've had several people recommend it to me, and as I work through it, all the numbers and settings on the camera are starting to make sense to me.

    EPA 4gal minimum law...WTF!!!

I don't see this getting very far. There are too many people out there that buy gas a gallon at a time for equipment with small engines (chainsaws, line trimmers, blowers, mowers, etc). That's just ridiculous. Not to mention it would royally suck with the bike if you're planning to take a...

    Newbie in need of help

Back on track, water certainly sounds like a possibility. I'd stick a hose in the filler, down to the bottom of the tank, and siphon out some gas into a clear glass jar. Let it sit for a little while and see if water separates out. If it does, keep siphoning until the water is gone. Then...

    Detailed bike! Rims!

WD-40 for me too. Wipe it on a rag, then on the rim. It helps keep it off the tire doing it this way.

    Don't do what I did

I doubt it'd be much different between adjusting on the side vs center stands. MAYBE 1/8". My guess is the directions to but it on the center stand are to make it easier to rotate the wheel and find the tight spot in the chain.

    Winterizing my Fizzer

You should change the oil before storing. The oil actually goes acidic as it is used, and can cause problems with the internals. That and it's one less thing to do in the Spring when all you want to do is ride. You're better off just leaving it be. Moisture won't accumulate much, if any...

    Sync'd my TB's today

Or drop $100 and get a Carbtune. Way easier, and you can actually quantify the vacuum rather than just level it out.

    Sync'd my TB's today

It's an interval maintenance procedure, something that should be done ever XXXX miles.

    Sync'd my TB's today

There is an injector for each cylinder, as well as a throttle body.
  20. 04fizzer

    Sync'd my TB's today

Incorrect. The ECU controls the ratio based on the intake temperature at the air box for all of the throttle bodies together. Synching controls the vacuum in each TB so that it pulls the same amount of the air/fuel mixture.
