Not sure, how is the stiction on our stockers?

I wonder if anybody has tried swapping the fork tubes for the TNK ones that RaceTech sells. Those black ones would look killer.

What gear are you usually in around town? On the highway?

How often are you lubing the chain? Could be rapid buildup from over lubing the chain and the excess flinging off in there. Good find on it though! It would drive me crazy trying to find a burning smell like that.

I would recommend taking it to a shop then and having them take a look at it, especially if you have never worked on a motorcycle engine/transmission before.

I agree with this. If there is stuff amiss within the tranny, wouldn't there be troubles with upshifts as well as downshifts?

Not exciting MotoGP round at all. Top 3 were lined up in the order they finished shortly after turn one. Moto2 on the other hand was fun to watch! Thought it was going to be a drag race down to the finish line.

Sounds 100 normal. These are wet clutches. With the engine off and cooled, the clutch likes to "stick" at first. All motorcycle I have had are like this.

Heh, ride a Buell, then talk about a clunky gearbox! I've never noticed an issue with the FZ6 gearbox.
