Agreed! The 15wt oil makes a huge difference to the dampening on these bikes. The racetech springs make the ride even nicer. There is also another drop in part that requires no fork oil wt change and helps the dampening. Its around $150ish though? maybe $100? can't remember the manufacturer for...

Being able to beat other riders says nothing about the bike, it says more about the rider vs those other riders. I have seen a ninja 250 spank 600s on curvy roads. A bike is only as capable as the rider.

R6S forks are a straight up swap. You only need to add a little more to the wheel spacers, and a spacer on the mounts for the brake calipers. In the past, it was not only to get the adjustable suspension, but to also get the brakes from the R6S. Now, the newer model FZ6s come with those brakes...

My 04 model FZ6 was totaled out with about the same amount of damage, cept my frame was cracked at the frame slider from it being bent in on it. Scuffed up frame will still warrant replacement by insurance. Glad to hear it didn't end worse!

Have to get the front week, brakes off, then the front fender. Loosen the triple clamp bolts and slide the forks out. Then its as simple as removing the for caps, pulling the stock spacer/washer out, and then the spring. Pour out old fork oil, make sure to pump the fork some while doing it to...

Man, what a difference. The bike actually wants to hold a line now, rather than drift out. Sooo much better feedback from the front tire too. Now to upgrade the rear shock :)

Tweaked forks in the triples is a common occurance after a drop. Always look at them first thing if the bike is drifting one direction after a drop. Unless the rear has impacted something, more than likely it wont become misaligned after a drop, and if it does, more than likely something is bent...
