I would take it to court and show pictures of other stock bikes and show the court that this bike comes this way. Maybe if he has to keep going to court for chicken tickets he might start writing something worth while. Doc

Go synthetic and change the oil yourself. It's really easy and should take no longer than a few minutes. There is a whole list of oil filters that are compatable with your bike on this site, and a boat load of opinions on what oil is best. Doc

I agree w/Geet. I have my EMT so I would at least stop and see if I could help. Most of the time the best help you can be is stay out of the way of people that can do something. I would be bad taste to take a picture, but I wouldn't diss anybody for doing it. Doc

It also depends on how hard you ride. I like the Pilot Power 2ct, I get 8 to 9 K, some people get more some less. I don't think that I ride hard, next set of tires will be different. Doc

I would replace the tire. I have been there so I know what your are going through. I just wouldn't trust my life to a patch or a plug unless all you do is in town driving and don't exceed 25 mph. Doc

Along with checking for loose terminals I would also clean them while you are at it. Getting to your battery is very easy. Un bolt your tank then just shift it back and it will swing right up. Put the hinge bolt back in and use bunge cords to hold it up like in BD43's head light mod. Be careful...
