Just a quick not to say thanks to y'all who are responding. This is much bigger & more civil than I imagined. Keep 'em coming... I'm not trying to start a war, just get people thinking. My intent isn't that they necessarily "save" lives, but help to avoid accidents. If you avoid an accident...

Here's one to think about: But if you spend $500 for an exhaust that helped just 1 car notice your presence that avoided an accident, would they be worth it? Spending that $500-$1000 to avoid costly repairs to your body and your motorcycle, not to mention your pain, time missed from work...

You've obviously never ridden over here near the east coast... Sucks huh... If you were to try splitting lanes in Atlanta or Detroit, I could very easily see some cager opening his door on purpose before you have time to stop :eek: . I dunno if it is jealousy or what :confused:

I agree those cuts look quite weird.... That's about the amount of tread left on my tires when I change them out too. Were the tires hard to get off the rims? Never tried a street tire, just LOTS of dirtbike tires.

Do I love to ride? You betcha! I’ve averaged ~900 miles per month for a little over 2 years on this bike now (same for my Katana for over 2 years prior). I have a 2 Brother’s exhaust on my ’07 Yamaha FZ6 and love it! I’ve heard that “loud pipes save lives” but never really ridden a loud bike...

I like mine and don't want to remove them...We'll see though, as I found out aren't on evenly when I put my tank bag on...I'm kinda anal like that, but it hasn't bothered me too bad yet :rolleyes:

I have the 2Bro carbon, and the right side get's pretty hot, but not hot enough to burn you. The end caps on the other hand, those get HOT!!! Your bags shouldn't touch them though...

yikes...They sound like they're there to cause problems... You can see them taking up 3 lanes of traffic in the video :(

I clean my whole bike with Richard's Best, aka "The Bomb". I get lots of compliments, and it has only been waxed maybe once, a long time ago. You'll have to use something else to get some nasty greases/lubes off first though.

ALWAYS wear full-face!!! I don't understand why some of you wear the faceshield up? :confused: Mine is down from the time I turn the key. When it is in the 90's out, it is actually cooler to have it down, as it keeps the hot air from rushing in. Maybe the Shoei RF-1000 is just well-enough...

Same here...It takes a long time and lot sof heat to hurt the springs holding them compressed.

been doing this for years on my longer rides, just not my 26 mile commute. Most definitly helps, and the extra padding will come in handy in the case of a crash too.

I've still not seen any posts anywhere on what people think of the Top Saddlry seat for aggresive riding...Any comments???

grips are cheap. Just cut 'em off. Nothing special about the stockers... I didn't use Loctite on my sliders and they aren't loose at all.

Stock seat performed fine IMO. We stopped every 1-2 hours for a short break to stretch. About half way through thte day my rear would get a little sore, but after a 5 minute break I was good to go for another hour. My knees cramped worse than the rest of me. Some body mentioned streching legs...

I remember coming thru Little Switzerland stuck behind cars on Sunday morning. I was bummin' 'cuz it looked like a really fun section. I would've given more notice to y'all, but I didn't have much myself. We've been planning it, just waiting for the right weather.
