Just remember it is the riders responsibility to instruct his passenger. Just like the rider is responsible for his passengers safety. Too many people just let someone hop on the back of their bike with no coaching. The last thing I want is a passenger who doesn't know how to passenge.

You have two types of riders those who ride in the rain and those who don't. Those that do have no problems with it, those that don't probably never will. So seems like it would only have a small market and that would be for scooter riders who don't wear gear.

It may not be the hardness of the grips that is causing your hands to hurt but the size of the grips. For me the grips were too small and caused my hands to cramp after too long of a time even with a loose grip. I installed grip puppies which made them fatter and that helped relieve the problem.
