5/8'' x 1 1/2'' is the wrong size bolt. 5/8 is freaking huge. The correct size is 5/16'' x 1 1/2''. For mine the exact bolt is 5/16'' 1 1/2'' - 18 with matching nuts. And I used m8 fender washers. Should be able to pick em up from just about any hardware store.

Could pick up 07+ fz6 forks/calipers. They're 4pot, basically same as the r6s. Not sure if the calipers would be direct bolt on to pre 07 forks..

Is anyone else worried yet? I have a feeling we're heading towards the next great depression in a hurry. If you have tried job hunting lately you know what I mean. We'll see where this ride goes and we're all along for the ride.

Was a tech for 4yrs at Circuit City that just went down the tubes. Currently liquidating my store while looking for another job. Sucks, but that's life.

Really depends alot Pete. This a real basic way to kill startup progs. For XP: Goto run --> type MSCONFIG --> hit enter. Goto the startup Tab --> Disable (uncheck) anything that's not related to Antivirus/firewall software. Goto the Services tab --> check Hide all microsoft services...

Gojo Hand Cleaner If this stuff doesn't take it off, it didn't come from your motorcycle. Should be able to pick it or something real similiar from any car parts store. Might want to pick up a soft brush to get under your nails to.

Ask if the Throttle Position Sensor(TPS) has been replaced. I believe the '05 has a recall on the TPS. The vin plate should have a notch in it if it's been done. And 5k for a '05 is pretty steep. I paid 5.5k After ttl off the dealership floor for my '06 new. I think the kbb value is like 3$3.5k

I think the manual says something along the lines of check every 8k miles replace if neccesary. Getting 16k out of a set shouldn't be too hard.. especially if you upgrade to iridium plugs for a few more bucks. Here is a link to a great write up on how to change plugs from the "other" forum...
