Did you get the automotive door trim at a regular auto parts store? I cut my windshield as well but I've had trouble finding any kind of suitable trim or piping to finish off the job.

I have the Yamaha top case and rack. I use it daily for my laptop and work shoes on the way in, then store my gloves and helmet in it while I'm in the office. Very useful for quick trips to the store as well. I haven't noticed any difference in handling/wind resistance with the case on or off.

The motor on my radiator fan was bad from the start. I didn't notice it until the weather got warmer and the bike overheated in traffic a couple of times. The dealer replaced it under warranty at no charge. It seems like a lot of people have had trouble with their radiator fan motors.
