I say go for it, thats basically what ive done with mine, i have the back half of my bike all lit up with the red leds and have yet to be messed with by the local LEO's. I cant see were it would be an issue i see Goldwings, Victory, and other larger bikes all lit up like Christmas trees rolling...

If you plan on doing the spray cans get more then one can of the top coat, one can will not cover it enough, i know this because when i shot my tank i fell a little short of covering it enough to color match the rest of the bike, As for clearcoat take it to a local body shop and have them lay on...

Its really not that bad just take pictures along the way to help you remember how stuff goes back together.

There not to bad to install i did them on my FZ, you just have to pack some patience with this project and be very careful not to break the CCFL tubes. First thing you wanna do is remove headlight from bike. Second once removed from bike place in oven at 300 degrees for about 5 minutes to heat...

You actually have to remove the headlight from the bike, stick it in the oven @ 250 degrees for about 10 minutes so that the heat can release the glue from the two headlight pieces, let us know if we can be of anymore assistance.

I recently purchased some PIAA H3 SERIES INTENSE WHITE BULBS and have to say what a huge difference these are from the stock H3 bulbs that came with my fairing, they produce a pure white light with no blue hue, which is exactly what i was looking for, plus the beam pattern is greatly increased...

Hey PNW neighbor,if your going for the hooligan look definitly go with just the bellypan, either way you decide to go it will look good, plus paint cost wise it will be cheaper to shoot the bellypan than both lower fairings, just a thought.

Its usually the first one you pick that stands out the most, at least in my case, when i like something.

Looks good from were im standing, i would paint it to match the rest of the scheme of your bike. Ive got the same one and after having it on there for a bit ive decided to also paint mine to match the rest of the bike.
