@squiz - how do you like the fly screen? does it serve any noticeable purpose other than looks or cover the speedo?

congrats on the ride. v-dubs are great - when they're running. i have an '87 scirocco 16v that now needs a new tranny/diff. when it was running (and without the common electrical issues), it was a fun little pocket rocket. go fahrvergnugen!

hope you guys were able to make it out over the weekend. after the snow we had last weekend, i finally took the bike out this past saturday and sunday. weather was great and the bike performed like a champ! (thx again, erci) hope to get a lot more practice and join you guys on a ride soon!

thanks for the intro, eric. i'm happy to say that i'm the new owner of eric's baby. i just got the new tags and am super excited to get some miles under my belt. i'm looking forward to learning lots about the bike from this great forum. hoping there are lots more warm days before the snow hits...
