I'm happy with the light output from the H4, H7 combo but I decided to upgrade the sidelights to led and add a led daylight running light under the front fairing. Obviously the visible light output onto the road isn't increased but it definitely gets me noticed, especially when i do any filtering.

I tried this with an old H4 bulb i had lying around. After finally modding the H4 to roughly fit, i found that because the reflector is designed specially for the H7 bulb, using a H4 bulb in the H7 reflector caused an abnormal beam pattern and produced less light output on low beam than the H7...

I've been considering purchasing lowers for mine too, i'm always reminding myself that the addition of these will be style over function. I would rather spend that kind of money towards a new helmet, leathers or some other mod, first but may eventually get round to is as i'm an all weather ride...
