Good info, but I disagree with the comment about CE armor needing to be replaced after a crash. Some types yes, but no all. The CE armor I have is comprised of rubber/foam/plastic that does not seem like it crushes only once. It rebounds. Please correct me if I am wrong about the armor.

I did mine after 4 years (the coolant too). I did not see any difference but I have peace of mind now. I also changed the fork oil when I changed the springs (big difference there)

Yup pretty cool. But the bad part is that speed limits are very strictly enforced here. Coming from San Diego where the normal flow of traffic was 70 (I am not kidding), here they will nail you if you go 60 in a 55. But I do find less monkey business and people will let you in for a lane change...

Scorpion now has the exo-500 which has an internal sun shade, and meets the DOT and ECE standards (softer than Snell 05). I have the 400 and am also thinking of upgrading. I wish they made it in the above hi-viz though.

I did that for a few rides but the lack of breathable material led to cold, sewaty hands after a while. I went for some silk glove liners (like $12) and I was much happier. But latex gloves do work in a pinch.

I'd add Killernoodle's clutch mod. I have one (but haven't testing it out yet hailing again today) but I hear that it transforms the clutch from an off/on switch to a real friction zone.

Awesome, I did only the fronts, but it is almost night a day. No more wallowing, much less diving under braking, but at the same time, smoother and they feel more plush.
