Performance wise, the FZ6 is a lot closer to the R6 than the FZ6R- The "R" has quite a few down-graded parts and a lot less HP. It'd be worth it to get the FZ6 and then shell out the extra dough to get the side cowlings or just a belly pan if the styling is that big of a factor.

I'm the same way!! Riding is my form of therapy as well- I don't think about anything else except for the ride and the feeling of the being out on the bike. On days when I can't ride due to the weather, I spend time in the garage cleaning and pampering my FZ and making her shine : ) I suppose...
