I moved from a 2004 FZ6 to a 2008 SPRINT ST a few years back, and I've been highly impressed and satisfied with the move. The bike has great power and a smooth transmission with a lot of power in the upper portion of the power band. You can just keep reaching for throttle. Tons of fun...

I'm in Southern Maryland too. If you go down to Clinton cycles or over to GRD, the labor alone is going to cost you about 70-75 bucks per hour. You probably would not get out of there for under 150-200 bucks (maybe a bit less).

There are a lot of ways to do the naked conversion (see my album for one of them). It looks like he just botched the conversion by placing the speedo too high and making the ignition too hard to get too. That can be fixed. The color on the other hand....that's a harder fix lol.

How does it ride? You're probably too busy out riding to answer that question :)

Congrats...great looking bike. I too bought my current bike without a test ride or seeing it in person first. I even took it a step further and bought it off the internet...not a dealership over the phone. Everything worked out fine and I"m sure the same will happen for you. Enjoy and be safe.

I've had the pleasure of riding on the GW Parkway and trust me...chain lube should be the least of your worries on that stretch of road!...Keep your head on as swivel and the shiny side up.:Sport:

Work on your core strength (abs and back) and also your legs. Those muscles groups are what you'll mainly use to lift your bike and move it around. The strong core will also help you on long rides.

I wouldn't worry about it...gives the bike character.
