I use a Condor chock. No straps are necessary on the front end. I just have to put a little forward pressure so the bike stays in the chock. Once she's tied in I can move the entire trailer side-to-side by shaking the bike. It's the only way to haul a motorcycle, in my arrogant opinion.

I paid $2400 for my 2004, with 32,000 miles. It's almost completely stock with only LSL sliders and Goodridge kevlar lines up front. However, I've seen the same year FZ going on CL.org for $3500 with some frequency.

I have LSLs on my FZ. They're alright, but need to be longer so I can rest my feets on those stretchy roads. The impact technology in the LSLs is also a cool feature. I just wish mine weren't blue.

FWIW, I run 36R/32F on the street. I don't think I'd ever run 39 psi, unless I was going to be on the interstate for an extended period of time. I know I'd never run that much on a race track.

I purchased my 2004 from a fellow rider for $2400. He purchased a used Ducati ST4 and had me perform a 12k service, which he deducted from the price of the bike. So... I technically paid $1400 for the Yamaha. I did have a few hundred wrapped up in parts for his Duc, though.
