I don't like fake carbon. On the other side of that coin... I don't like 'excessive' carbon. Track bike? I can appreciate carbon fiber brake rotor carriers, but not on a street bike.

I don't believe the DOT requires the front 'marker lights' to be on. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am. The FZ6 is the only bike I've owned that had front running lights. (maybe my ex500?)

A helmet is mandatory for riders that have their "temporary" license. Also, after you obtain your endorsement, you have to wear a helmet for one year. After that... "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death". (or maybe both if you decide to not wear the gear... :sadface: ) The MSF course is optional...

You'll find the dowel when you pull the cover. It sits between the cover and engine case and pulls duty as a "locator" for the cover. Be sure you torque those screws to the proper specification... especially if you're new to wrenching. :thumbup:

Cheap Cycle Parts It's your "Oil Pump Cover" and it costs about $50. Be sure to pick up a new gasket, as well.

Hard? The Corbin will be firmer than the stock seat. My only complaint about the stock seat is it is too soft. It doesn't support my posterior in a manner that suits me. :(

Huh.. I've never looked at it from this angle. I can definitely see this happening. Could be why some insurance companies will pay for your damaged gear and some won't.

While I believe everyone should wear a helmet, I'm grateful that Ohio doesn't have a helmet law. Now, if we could get that stupid seatbelt law repealed... :facepalm:

The Ducati Supersport is one of the most underrated streetbikes on the planet, IMAO. I don't care too much for the Streetfighter, either. Now, the Multistrada? Hell yes! I'm on a mission to put one in my garage in the near future.

It was cheap. If money were not an object, it wouldn't be in my garage. That said, it's a nice bike. Handles alright, power is kind of goofy... there's a dead spot in the throttle. I still have to check the TPS, but it already had the recall performed. :shrug: Looks alright, comfortable...
